Performing Arts

2007-2008

Six students were selected by audition to participate in the District XII Cobb County Middle School Honor Band Event held at Cooper Middle School in February, and two students were selected as alternates.

The 7th Grade Band received an "Excellent" rating and the 8th Grade Band received a "Superior" rating at the District XII Cobb County Middle School Large Group Performance Evaluation held in March.

The ECMS Jazz Band (in its 4th year) and the ECMS Flute Choir (in its 1st year) both performed successfully numerous times throughout the year for school and county functions.

2006-2007

Twelve band students participated in the Solo and Ensemble Fesitval and received ratings of "superior" or "excellent".
Six band students were selected as members of the Georgia Music Educators Association District XII Middle School Honor Band and three students were selected as alternates.
Both 7th and 8th grade bands received "superior" ratings (the highest possible) at the Georgia Music Educators Association District XII Large Group Performance Evaluation.
