East Cobb’s 7^th graders are changed – and they’re ready to “Be the Change.” The week of January 6-9, 2009, approximately 400 students and 100 adult volunteers learned more about themselves and one another through Challenge Day http://www.challengeday.org. and pledged to do their part to make ECMS a place where every child feels safe, loved and celebrated. They learned how to connect with classmates outside their comfort zone. And they experienced first-hand how taking the risk to share what’s really going on with them breaks down the barriers among people of different backgrounds.
