The East Cobb Middle School Foundation's mission is to provide resources to promote academic excellence, expand community
awareness, and offer cultural enrichment for the diverse East Cobb Middle School student body.

| ECMS '08 |
We must be the change we want to see in the world. Ghandi
East Cobb’s 7th graders are changed –
and they’re ready to “Be the Change.” The week of January 8-11, 2008, 358 students and 90 adult volunteers
learned more about themselves and one another through Challenge Day http://www.challengeday.org. and pledged to do their part to make ECMS a place where every child feels safe, loved and celebrated.
They learned how to connect with classmates outside their comfort zone. And they experienced first-hand how taking the risk
to share what’s really going on with them breaks down the barriers among people of different backgrounds. Local
